Played 2nd April 2018

Theme

“Step into an intoxicating world of bizarreness. Can you make your way out in under 60 minutes? Can you make head or tale of up or down? This fun, crazy game will be sure to test your wits but bamboozle your senses as it does.”

 Host

Our host was very busy as we arrived due to staff sickness, he offered us a drink while we waited as he was running a little behind. Considering  he was greeting customers and managing four rooms, he was very cheerful and gave a comical brief to everyone playing a room at that time. The host took us to the room where we explained our dad was a little worried about being locked in due to claustrophobia and we asked if it was possible to keep the door unlocked, the host said it was ok as if we just exited we would have cheated ourselves, he also put our dad at ease explaining the room does get bigger and gave him a chair in case he needed to sit down. Our host was helpful with our clues and we had a running joke pretending to be pizza restaurants on the phone when either of us called about clues.

Room Setup

Our room was small with a few things placed on the wall and dimly lit but not to dark. This first room wouldn’t be enough for 8 people as it is a very tight squeeze however it will get bigger.

Game Play

This room mainly comprised of linear puzzles at the beginning and non linear puzzles as the game went on. The room had good movement throughout. This game was a bit of a scavenger hunt which encompassed a range of logical, skill, and observational puzzles. All of the locks were either key or coded padlocks with a good twist of how to gain the key to escape.

Clue System

Clues are delivered by a telephone one located in the second room, clues are given personally by the host. We prefer this method as you can ask the host to explain something if you don’t understand what has been said.

Escape Time

65 minutes
